New Year, New Soup :-)

The menu for TUESDAY, JANUARY 27th features a brand new soup, SAUSAGE GNOCCHI SOUP, MULTI-SEED BREAD, & BLACK RASPBERRY CHIP COOKIES. This creamy soup is filled with pillowy potato gnocchi, juicy sausage, and tender vegetables simmered in a rich, savory broth. Every spoonful is cozy, indulgent, and bursting with comforting Italian-inspired flavor.
The soup begins with browning the sausage in the soup pot in a little olive oil. This creates a rich, comforting blend of golden-browned sausage with sweet yellow onion, tender carrots, crisp celery, and fragrant garlic, all deglazed with dry white wine for extra depth.
A savory base of homemade chicken stock and heavy cream is then added to thicken the soup to silky perfection. Next it's seasoned with basil, parsley, oregano, mustard powder, soy sauce, and a touch of hot sauce for subtle warmth and umami. Pillowy potato gnocchi soak up the flavorful broth while fresh baby spinach wilts gently into the soup, adding color and freshness to every irresistibly cozy bite. The soup is garnished with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan for a luscious finish.

My bread companion this week is my MULTI-SEED BREAD. This delicious bread is dark, slightly sweet and has a satisfying crunch from the multi-seed topping. Not only is it fantastic fresh from the oven, if you can save some for breakfast it makes the best toast!!
