Week 224: Tortilla Soup
Share
Happy Thursday!!
The menu for TUESDAY, MAY 9th features TORTILLA SOUP with ITALIAN SUPERMARKET BREAD. As I said last week, I am featuring customer favorite soups for the last few weeks of the soup season. Tortilla soup is such a big favorite that I normally end for the summer on it, however this year I decided to try something new. So enjoy the Tortilla soup this week and try to guess which soup I'll end with ....

Next, homemade chicken stock, fire-roasted tomatoes, and tomato sauce are added. The soup simmers until all the flavors are blended and it's garnished with cilantro, shredded cheddar cheese and tortilla strips.

The bread companion this week is my ITALIAN SUPERMARKET BREAD. Just like the name says ... it's a fresh loaf of bread that tastes like the loaves of Italian bread you used to be able to pick up from the supermarket. It has a crispy exterior with a nice chewy bite and is coated in sesame seeds. It is simple, but tastes anything but. This bread tastes fantastic dipped in the Tortilla soup!
