
Week 136: Chicken Corn Chowder & Gazpacho

Happy Thursday & Welcome back!!
I promise, this time it's for real ... no more changes to highlight, kids to celebrate .... just a tasty menu for you to order. And this week's offering has two soups to make your Tuesday night dinner delicious, healthy and and a night off from cooking!!
On the menu for TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1st is CHICKEN CORN CHOWDER, GAZPACHO and ITALIAN HERB BREAD. This is the perfect soup to kick off the new soup season with .... it's hearty, comforting and chocked full of fresh summer produce. This chicken corn chowder is filled with bites of tender chicken, local sweet corn & zucchini and a little bit of salty bacon to finish it off.
The soup begins by cooking the diced bacon until crisp. Next, diced onion, garlic and zucchini are added to saute. Cubed chicken is then added to brown alongside the veggies. Corn kernels cut right off the cob, diced potato and fresh parsley and thyme are added along with homemade chicken stock. The soup simmers until the veggies and chicken are cooked. The soup is finished with a can of creamed corn, a small dash of cayenne pepper and a little bit of half-and-half. It's garnished with the crispy bacon and diced green onions. This soup can easily be made vegetarian or dairy-free, please comment in the notes section when ordering.
The second soup offered this week is GAZPACHO. Summer's bounty is in full swing and I have an abundance of beautiful tomatoes in my garden that I cannot wait to share with you! This chilled tomato and vegetable soup makes the perfect lunch or light dinner to enjoy during summer's sweltering heat. My gazpacho is made with fresh tomatoes, cucumber, onions, garlic, red peppers, tomato juice, fresh lemon & lime juice, honey, a splash of red wine vinegar and fresh tarragon and basil.
The bread companion this week is my ITALIAN HERB BREAD. This fresh bread is filled with fresh herbs, garlic and butter and will taste fantastic served alongside both soups.

Soup deliveries & pick up are on TUESDAYS.
Pick up will now be at MPH Brewing at 7880 Remington Rd after 3 PM. Please text (513) 910-5526 when you arrive & we'll bring your order out to you.
